Hi I'm Melanie. My profile photo is of my dog Merry. She is 16 1/2 and, while this may sound funny to some, she is my rock. We have lived through much together and I don't know what I would have done without her constant love .... and her constant barking! She is in charge of all of our pets, and us most of the time, and keeps everyone in line.
Grade Level/Discipline:I teach 4th Grade at Sheridan Elementary School in Allentown, Pennsylvania ... for now. We'll see what the cuts will be this year and how people get shuffled. :0(
Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: Teaching is a second career for me.
Fact 2: I can still write in shorthand.
Fact 3: I knit, crochet, and sculpt.
Fact 4:I am originally from New Jersey and miss it very much sometimes.

What I'd like to learn or get out of this course: I would like to learn how to be more tech savvy in the classroom while using the limited technology I have to its fullest potential.
My favorite game(s): I don't really have a favorite game; I do very much enjoy playing games like sodoku, word scrambles, etc. My husband has tried many times to teach me how to play Call of Duty for PS3 but I just can't get the hang of shooting, crouching, hiding, and looking around all at the same time!
